About BIOGEOMON 2026

Page reviewed:  23/05/2025

Since 1987, the BIOGEOMON conference series has served as a vital forum for advancing place-based ecosystem science, grounded in integrated observations across the biosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and atmosphere—hence the “MON” in BIOGEOMON. The 2026 conference will explore the theme “Ecosystems in Transition” through a diverse range of topical sessions that reflect the complexity and dynamism of environmental change.

A highlight of the program will be a day of field excursions to leading research infrastructures in the region, including the SITES network and the Svartberget Research Station. Svartberget recently celebrated 100 years of field-based research and is home to the internationally renowned Krycklan Catchment Study.
