    Harvesting Swedish sweet potatoes in search of the varieties of the future

    In long rows lie root vegetables in a remarkably wide range of colours and shapes: purple, red, orange, yellow, and white. Plump, thin, long, smooth, and crooked. The trial cultivation of new sweet potato varieties adapted to the Swedish climate is now being harvested.

    The project aimed to give a broad presentation of the history of garden culture in Sweden in a three volume publication.

    MultiSoil

    In the EU project MultiSoil, we develop strategies to improve soil health and biodiversity. Our aim is to study cropping practices to reduce the reliance on chemical pest control, enhance soil functions and resilience, and support climate-smart farming. The project runs from 2025 to 2030.

    A project that aims to explore Swedish livestock animal veterinarians’ understanding and management of epizootic disease threats focusing on how tensions and uncertainties are handled and how policies/preparedness plans are related to and used in practice.
