Biomass Technology and Chemistry

The group develops cutting edge technology for pre-treatment, modification, fractionation and densification of forest and agricultural biomass, as well as residues and waste from different industries for the production of electricity, heat and more premium products in bioraffinades. On-line quality control methods are developed and used both in our research pilot and in industrial plants. Much of our research is done in close cooperation with industry.
