Grace Mercy Amboka

PhD student, NJ, Enheten för Lantbruksentomologi
I am a PhD student in the Agricultural Entomology unit, researching the biocontrol of fall armyworms, stemborers, and parasitic Striga weed using push-pull cropping in East African smallholder systems.

Presentation

I am an ecologist interested in biodiversity conservation and how nature supports people and ecosystems. My work is transdisciplinary, combining ecological research with the knowledge and experiences of farmers and other practitioners to address environmental challenges. Currently, I work within the UPSCALE project, exploring how the landscape and soil context influence the benefits of push-pull cropping systems across five East African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
