Previous projects
- Interactions of Phytophthora infestans with potato and wild Solanum species using resistance screening, Transcriptomics, Quantitative Proteomics, and Activity-Based Protein Profiling. Studied innate immunity activation in Agricultural fields using Apoplastic proteome, and transgenerational stability of β-Aminobutyric acid (BABA) and toxicity of Phosphite application on P. infestans.
- Metabolomics Profile of Moss species and cyanobacteria grown in the Boreal forest
Current Projects
- Sorghum resistance/tolerance against anthracnose, drought, and striga.
- Developing genomic tools for improving finger millet tolerance to Aluminium toxicity.
- Oilseed crops (rapeseed and turnip rape) resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, and adaptation to higher latitudes.
- Developing genomic tools for accelerating the domestication and improvement of a novel bioenergy crop (Lepidium campestre).
