Valeria Carini
PhD student, NJ, Enheten för Lantbruksentomologi
I am a PhD student in the Agricultural Entomology unit, focussing on ecological aspects of agroecosystems and economic implications
Presentation
I am interested in biodiversity and ecosystem functions in cropping systems and their contributions to crop production. For my PhD I am collaborating with a PhD in economics, with a transdisciplinary approach to agroecosystems. My expertise is mostly focused on arthropods and arable plants, but I have a broader background as Natural Scientist.
Background
I hold a MSc in Environmental Biology from Turin University. For my master's thesis I explored the effects of elevational gradients on carabid beetles niche breadth.
