Florence Damiens

Florence är samhällsvetare vid Institutionen för ekologi. Hon studerar hur politiken påverkar den biologiska mångfalden och dess bevarande genom att förena statsvetenskap och bevarande av biologisk mångfald.

Fokus för hennes forskning är hur konkurrerande politiska diskurser och styrningsformer benämner, styr och påverkar den biologiska mångfalden och dess bevarande.

Inom ramen för EU:s Horizon-2020 Safeguard- och Horizon Europe VALOR-projekt undersöker hon den roll som diskursiva dynamiker spelar för att stödja förändringar för pollinerare på europeisk nivå och för att upprätthålla pollinerarovänliga metoder.

Parallellt arbetar Florence också med politiken kring biologisk mångfaldskompensation.
