I have a PhD in Robotics and Control Engineering, majoring particularly in automation and intelligent motion control of mechanical systems.

Presentation

I am a robotics and automation specialist dedicated to advancing the collaboration between humans, machines, and intelligent systems to solve complex, real-world challenges. My current focus is on field robotics, where I am developing semi-autonomous technologies for heavy-duty machines, particularly forestry machines, by integrating robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation. These innovations aim to improve operator efficiency, machine usability, and overall system intelligence in demanding environments.

My work spans the full development cycle: (1) designing new machines using simulation-based engineering methods, (2) developing robotic motion control algorithms and software, (3) developing the required Artificial Intelligence to make these machines take partial decisions without human involvement, (4) testing these solutions on commercially available machines, and (5) helping industries translating validated technologies into commercially viable products.

Forskning

I work as a researcher and engineer with over 20 years of experience in robotics and automation, with a strong focus on field robotics, particularly forestry applications. My work spans the development of advanced motion control systems, autonomous machine operation, and energy-efficient technologies for heavy-duty machines. I have contributed to both academic research and industry innovation, particularly developing physics-based models for simulations, intelligent control strategies, and perception systems for autonomous cranes and forestry machines. My expertise bridges applied research and real-world implementation, with a consistent aim of improving efficiency, sustainability, and autonomy in complex systems.
