Brian Kuns

Broadly speaking I research questions of agrarian change, both in Eastern Europe and now in Sweden as well. I am particularly interested in questions of agrarian structure (the development of big farms, small farms) and farm labor, and how these might be changing. I also study agrarian and environmental change over longer time periods and how historical change can be related to contemporary change processes. Finally I am interested in GIS/Remote Sensing and how these can be used to help understand agrarian change.

I teach in both our program in Sustainable Development (pol-kand) and Rural Development
