Forskning
My research is concerned with the interactions of people, 'technology', and the environment and combines insights from science and technology studies, sociology, geography, and information studies. Most of my recent research has focused on the implications of digitisation (AI, ML, big data, algorithmic decision making, etc) on environmental governance processes. My collective work on these topics is summarised here: slu.se/algorithms

Undervisning
I primarily teach and contribute to courses in the MSc Environmental Communication and Management degree programme and am course leader for the course MX0158 Communication Theory and Strategy. I have run educational development projects related to the MSc programme on student experiences throughout and after their learning journey, and on the role of Large Language Models in teaching and learning. Together with colleagues, we are writing the textbook "A Critical Introduction to Environmental Communication", to be published in 2026. In 2024, I was awarded the Distinguished Teacher promotion by the university.
