With a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the University of Copenhagen, I specialize in root biology and abiotic stress tolerance. I have published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Annals of Botany, Plant and Soil, Food Hydrocolloids, and supervised multiple students, fostering their academic growth through mentorship.

My research centers on developing methods to enhance root traits for waterlogging tolerance in wheat. I investigate adaptive root traits response to waterlogged conditions, collaborating with global institutions like Alliance Bioversity International & CIAT to improve wheat breeding for climate resilience.

Using Techniques like gas microsensors, anatomy, and histochemical staining, I analyze environmental impacts on wheat root performance. My expertise in soil water dynamics and stress tolerance informs sustainable agricultural practices, aligning with SLU's environmental goals.
