Field Excursion

More information will be provided soon

All field excursions depart from the SLU parking lot in central Umeå (exact location to be confirmed) at 08:00 and return there in the afternoon. The Röbäcksdalen tour is a half-day excursion returning around 12:00 and does not include lunch, while the full-day excursions to Krycklan and the peatlands return by 17:00, with fika and lunch provided. Travel times vary by destination; for example, the Krycklan Catchment Study is approximately 60 km inland from Umeå, about 1 hour by bus.

Clothing & Gear: Please dress according to the weather and bring sturdy shoes suitable for outdoor terrain.

A Umeå-based facility studying agriculture, animal science, biology, agro-ecology, soil, and environmental science, featuring a 120-cow dairy farm.
