Presentation

My main research interests focus on forest management planning under changing climate conditions, particularly the impacts of disturbance events such as storms, forest fires, and bark beetle outbreaks. My work combines forest growth and yield modelling with risk assessment to evaluate the long-term consequences of these disturbances on forest ecosystems,  management and economic outcomes. I primarily use the Heureka Decision Support System to simulate forest growth and dynamics and integrate stochastic disturbance models to represent the occurrence and impacts of extreme events. Through this approach, I aim to identify management strategies that improve forest resilience while balancing economic and environmental objectives. I am also working as a Risk and impact assessment analyst at Forest Damage Centre, SLU.
