Alnarp Library has an extensive collection of nursery catalogues from different countries, including Denmark, France, Holland, Great Britain, Germany and Sweden. The bulk of the collection is from 1860-1960.

The catalogues (approximately 3,800 pieces) reflect the use of plants and the prevailing ideals in gardening during different periods, making them a valuable source for horticultural research.

The main collection has its origin in Alnarps Trädgårdar, a nursery existing from around 1860 to 1960. The collection also includes a limited number of nursery catalogues from later years.

The catalogues can be studied on site at the library only.
