Syftet med kursen är att studenten ska erhålla en grundläggande kunskap om Sveriges däggdjur, fåglar, grod- och kräldjur, dess biologi och -förvaltning.

Hej,
Välkomna på kursen ”Faunistik; artkunskap, ekologi och förvaltning” (BI1392)! Hoppas det ska bli en trevlig och lärorik tid.
Kursen erbjuder artkunskap om våra vilda ryggradsdjur, dess grundläggande ekologi samt förvaltning. Den huvudsakliga inriktningen är artkunskap och färdighet att i fält, via bilder, delar (ex horn) eller spår artbestämma våra däggdjur, fåglar och kräldjur. Kursen omfattar även utbredning, habitat, grundläggande ekologi (ekosystemfunktioner, artinteraktioner, trofinivåer) samt vilt- och naturförvaltning. Vi kommer även att beröra viltövervakning, sjukdomsövervakning och användandet av vilda djur inom forskning och som livsmedel.
Kursen genomförs på halvtidsfart under kväller och helger under vårterminen och består av föreläsningar, museibesök, exkursioner samt enskilda litteraturarbeten.

If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
For the assessment of an independent project (degree project), the examiner may also allow a student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
