Studio - Urban ecology for landscape architecture

Information from the course leader

Welcome to the Urban Ecology course. We hope you're all looking forward to our course-start, we sure are!

An extra warm welcome to all of you who are new to Uppsala and Sweden.

The course introduction and roll call, on Tuesday 25/3, starts at 8:30 in Sal C216, Biocentrum, entrance from Ultuna Torg.

You find the literature list here on the Student web.

Four weeks before the course starts, a preliminary schedule is published here on the Student Web. We will also open the Canvas page for you to check it out in advance and find more detailed information about the course.

We are going for an excursion to Malmö-Österlen that takes place 26-27/5. We will start at Malmö train station at 8:00 on Monday 26/5. For the return journey to Stockholm/Uppsala you can book the 17:07 train from Malmö C on the 27/5. Apart from the tour bus that will take us to Österlen, students book and finance travels to and from Malmö, as well as the stay in Malmö.

If it is possible for you, and you haven't been to Malmö or Copenhagen before, we warmly recommend to add extra days before and/or after the excursion. There is plenty more to see and we will happily recommend other inspiring places for you to visit.

If you are entitled to study support for students with disabilities, remember to contact us before the course starts.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. bodil.dahlman@slu.se

Looking forward to meet you!
