Politics, Policies and Public Administration
Kursen ingår i agronomprogrammet i landsbygdsutveckling. Kursens huvudinnehåll utgörs av kunskaper om relationerna mellan samhällsinstitutionerna och landsbygdernas förändring.
Syftet är att ge studenterna breda kunskaper kring hur samhällsapparaten fungerar och insyn i såväl offentligt som civilt samhälle, liksom i relationerna mellan samhälleliga och privata livssfärer. Med utgångspunkt i den breda överblicken fokuserar kursen på hur samhällsinstitutioner och policybeslut influerar och influeras av landsbygdens förhållanden. Särskild vikt läggs vid förvaltningskunskap (myndighetsutövning); innehåll i EU- och nationella program; globalisering och transnationella rörelser; samt på lokala perspektiv på politiken.
Kursen består av en blandning av föreläsningar och självständigt arbete enskilt och i grupp utifrån fall, både konstruerade och hämtade från verkligheten, som redovisas och diskuteras under seminarier.

- If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
- The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
- If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
- For the examination of a degree project (independent project), the examiner may also allow the student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Transitional provisions
• Exams: At least three retake sessions (renewed exams) must be offered within two years of the decision to cancel the course. • Compulsory elements: At least one opportunity for a retake session must be offered within two years of the decision to cancel the course.Other information
