Introduction to programming in R
The course gives an introduction to R, that is a programming language for statistical computing and graphics. The course is given as an online course with recorded lectures and course meetings in zoom in addition town work with exercises.

After completing the course the student shall be able to 1) describe what R is and give examples on how R can be used in analysis of data, 2) read data into R from a file and write output to a file, 3) perform basic statistics and graphics in R, 4) use R scripts written by others and write their own shorter R scripts.

Additional information
The course consists of five half-day meetings with lectures and computer exercises. In addition the students are expected to do individual work in between meetings. The students will bring their own computers to work on.Tuition fee for non SLU PhD students: 2 000 SEK.
