Publ. 2019. Part 5 in the series Future Food Reports. There are several reasons to learn more about insect farming and processing insects for food. For much of the world’s population, insects are by tradition an important source of nutrients and appreciated as food. Quite recently, entomophagy (the practice of eating insects) has emerged as a hot topic for resource efficient food production also in our part of the world.
Publ. 2018. Part 3 in the series Future Food Reports. Sustainable diets that are nutritionally adequate, environmentally sound, economically viable and socially and culturally acceptable are gaining increasing attention. The focus has long been on the role of meat and less attention has been paid to the role of dairy products in sustainable diets. There is currently a rise in plantbased dairy alternatives made of soy, legumes, seeds, nuts or cereals. These have potentially lower negative impacts than dairy products but different nutritional profiles, which raises concerns about their role as replacements or complements to dairy products in sustainable diets. These concerns form the background to this report.
Publ. 2018. A report on business perspectives of sustainable development. Holding business actors accountable for their intents and actions, setting objectives and taking actions above and beyond that of following the law is important steps in a sustainable food chain.
