“Small in scale, big in value”

“Small in scale, big in value” is a motto used during IYAFA 2022 to highlight the importance of small-scale artisanal fisheries and aquaculture. Since 2015, SLU and University of Dar Es Saalam have jointly focused on strengthening sustainable small-scale fish farming in Tanzania. Read the blog post.

Aquatic foods are superfoods for people and for our planet

SLU Global, SLU Aqua and SLU Aquaculture hosted a successful webinar about sustainable production and harvesting of fish, invertebrates and algae captured or cultured in freshwater or marine ecosystems for food or feed.
