Anna Jakobsson

Presentation

Anna Jakobsson is a Landscape Architect (2000), has a PhD in Landscape Planning from SLU (2009) and is a Senior Lecturer (Universitetslektor) in the context of Gardens, Parks and Landscapes – their history and cultural heritage (2012-). Her research and teaching focus on the history of gardens and landscape architecture, the heritage and theory of landscape and landscape architecture, conservation of parks and gardens and plants in garden history.

 

Teaching

Lecturer in Garden history, Landscape Heritage, Historic analysis and scientific writing in the Landscape architect programme

Course leader in the course Landscape theory in architectural and planning practice (master level)

Research

2018-2020: The collection of Per Friberg - documentation and analysis of his projects' archive. Together with an archivist, the material will be described, registered and eventually searchable online. 

2017-2020: Storgårdsbönder med slottsparksambitioner. Documentation and historic analysis of 4 small estates in the countryside, east of Lund.

2013-2016: Postdoc project; Knowledge about the role of the garden in the own-your-own-home movement in Sweden 1905-1936 and its applications in the discussion on sustainable development and well-being in cities of today, at the Department of Human geography, Lund University and the Department of Landscape architecture, planning and management, SLU Alnarp. Financed by FORMAS Mobility Grant for Young researchers. 

2011-2012: Sensory analysis and a multidisciplinary approach to the analysis of gardens in a changing landscape, with Gunnar Cerwén, financed by The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA).

2011: The garden and park at Tomarp: the role of the water gardens at Tomarp during the 1600s, their shape and placement throughout history, with Boel Persson (SLU Alnarp), Anders Biwall och Jane Jansen (National Heritage Board, RAÄ UV), Anna Andréasson (Archaeogarden). Financed by Movium partnerskap, Statens Fastighetsverk, Åstorps kommun, Kvidinge sockens hembygdsförening and Tomarps Kungsgårds vänner. (see publications)

2010-2011: Conservation plan for Göholm (Vårdplan för Göholms park och trädgård), with Boel Persson (SLU Alnarp). Financed by Stiftelsen Stina Werners Fond. (see publications)

2002-2009: Research studies on Ronneby Spa Park; its history, the sensory aspects of the design and layout of spa parks in general during the late 19th century and the role of walking in experiencing landscape. http://pub.epsilon.slu.se/2118/
