WP 3 Field testing

A selection of wheat lines based on the results from the greenhouse experiment (WP 2) will be grown in a randomized complete and blocked field experiment near Uppsala and in Southern Sweden for two growing seasons. Growth of roots and shoots, developmental stage and plant nutrient economy will be assessed in net parcels. The results from the field trials will be compared with the root growth data from the greenhouse experiment (WP 2). Root traits will be evaluated in relation to soil properties.
