Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development - organization theory II
The course is based on three main activates: 1) lectures and reading of academic articles, where participants develop an understanding of the current theory of entrepreneurship; 2) case seminars, where participants develop their ability to use the theory in empirical analysis: and 3) an empirical project, where empirical analysis is extended with more critically reflection.
The course uses central concepts from organization theory to understand and analyze the start-up, development and growth of new ventures. Particular focus lies on understanding the development process, where ventures go from being nascent and vulnerable to legitimate and sustainable. Phenomena of change, learning, innovation and the sustainable interplay between an open system and its environment are considered.
