Business Administration for the Horticultural Firm

Welcome to a course in basic business administration for horticulture businesses. In this course you will learn some of the financial concepts and methods that can be used in a horticultural business:

Liquidity planning that indicates whether the money will be enough or not, cost and revenue analysis, which can give a picture of the "when, where, how" of costs and revenues, product calculation to find out how much something costs to produce and how high the selling price needs to be, investment calculation to assess whether it is profitable to make a certain investment and financing to find out how to finance a business.

In the course, also the basics of external accounting are studied, i.e. the accounting that is required by law to, for example, meet the authorities' and the outside world's demands for transparency, as well as legal concepts and law with a focus on contracts.
