Raw Material Properties and Refining Processes

The course covers both traditional forest industrial products and various types of future products, in the form of e.g. fuels and new bio-refinery products. Included subject areas are forest technology, bioenergy, and wood technology. The course consists of lectures, of which a large number of external participating, own works and seminars, laboratory sessions, and study visits. Implementation of written assignments are compulsory. Attendance is compulsory during some parts of the course, mainly during practical exercises and field trips.
