GIS in forest and landscape

This course is an introduction to GIS with focus on forestry and forest land applications. We introduce ArcGIS PRO and R studio. In the modules the students work with contemporary and historical data and maps to geoprocess and visualize forestry data and green infrastructure. Case studies in the course is e.g. forestry planning data, reindeer herding infrastructure for Northern Sweden and the student´s own geo-sampled data. Students can take the course distance based or on campus. The course is part of the Forest and Landscape program but can also be a stand-alone course. Read more under ”Schedule”
