Gordana Manevska-Tasevska is a researcher, policy analyst, a director of PhD studies at the Department of Economics, and a director of studies of the research school Social Science Perspectives on Sustainable Development (SSPSD) at SLU.

Agricultural policy.

Research

Gordana is involved in projects commissioned by the Swedish Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the EU Commission, FORMAS, MISTRA, etc, and performs analysis with policy relevance. Her main research trajectory is the production performance of the agricultural systems, covering issues in regard to farm economic performance, competitiveness, sustainability, resilience, animal welfare and diversification, and the interplay with the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

Involvement in fortcomming and ongoing projects:

2021-2025: FORMAS - SustAnimal- collaborative research centre exploring the future role of livestock in sustainable and competitive Swedish food production systems.

International cooperation established within the EU projects; active cooperation with Copenhagen Univerisity, Scottish Rural College, Wageningen University, INRA France, Kasetsart University in Thailand, The University of Tuscia in Italy, etc.

Domestic cooperation with researchres from various departments at SLU, RISE, and  stakeholders including representatives from the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, LRF, branch organisations, Swedish Board of Agriculture, etc.

Background

Gordana has a PhD in Business Management from SLU, with a dissertaion on farm efficiency of grape-growing family farms and policy influence on farm performance.
