“The welfare landscape reassembled: policies for sustainable outdoor recreation in times of urban densification” (2017 –22), funded by Formas. Project leader.

Landscape planning in theory and practice 


Academic interests: methodology and theory within landscape research, rural – urban interfaces, urbanization, transit-oriented development, landscape- and planning history (in particular the 20th and 21st centuries), post-industrial nature, planning for recreation and wellbeing, welfare planning.



I am the main supervisor for the PhD students Mia Ågren, Amalia Engström, Sued Ferreira da Silva, Edson Sanga, Maglan Sang’enoi and Ragnhild Claesson, and co-supervisor for Thomas Lexén.
