Now it's time to collect samples

Because mussels filter water when they feed, algae are part of their diet. This makes mussels very interesting for learning more about toxic algal blooms. That's why scientists are now taking samples

Microbiome monitoring for risk assessment in recirculating aquaculture systems

Harmful bacteria have a negative impact in aquaculture operations, resulting in increased fish mortality and reduced yield. This project aims to understand the factors leading to their proliferation

Dispersal barriers and functional convergence in aquatic microorganisms

For almost a century, microorganisms have been thought to have a worldwide distribution, leading to the famous hypothesis that "everything is everywhere, but the environment selects". But recent
