CRU Seminar: "Genetics in male infertility”

A CRU seminar with invited speaker Prof Sezgin Gunes.

Prof Sezgin Gunes is an academic at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkiye, where she teaches medical biology and genetics. Her research interests are genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying common human diseases, especially male infertility and urological malignancies.

Seminar summary: Toxic exposures have various effects, including intrauterine growth retardation, developmental disruption, congenital defects, miscarriages, fetal death, and infertility. This seminar will introduce the mechanisms of teratogenesis and how toxic agents cause developmental disruption in mammals and humans. Risk assessment principles and practices associated with health risks will be discussed.
