Tree ring data

Last changed: 29 May 2023

Tree ring data from 150 000 trees with  6.3 million measurements. The data is presented by both growth season and measurement order.

Since the Swedish National Forest Inventory started in 1923 tree ring bore cores have been sampled. This tree ring data has primarily been used to calculate diameter growth as the basis for basal area weighted increment and volume increment. The tree ring data has also been used to calculate the annual ring index and with other increment analyses.

This file contains data from 1995-2021. The data is presented by year (growth season) and by measurement order - to facilitate different types of analyses.
