On 14 September, SLU alumna of the year, Annika Bergman, received her award and gave a lecture at a ceremony in Alnarpsgården on Campus Alnarp. Deputy vice-chancellor Pär Forslund presented the award.

Annika, who got her higher education diploma in agricultural and rural management (Lantmästare) from SLU in 1992, spoke about her journey from being a student at SLU till now, and shared some personal life experiences through both difficult and brighter times. Annika now works as CEO of Hushållningssällskapet in Halland.

After the lecture, there was a conversation between Annika Bergman, Pär Forslund and dean Christina Lunner Kolstrup where the audience was able to ask questions. It was a fruitful conversation with lots of good advice to the students as well as others in the audience.

It was announced in February 2022 that Annika had been selected as the SLU alumna of the year. She received the award partly because by sharing her solid experience in business management and development, she has raised leadership issues for the joy and benefit of many.

The ceremony was live streamed and recorded.
