Funding for course organizers

Last changed: 29 February 2024

The research school 'Ecology - basics and applications' give funding for courses and other activities such as workshops and symposiums.

How to apply

Before you apply for funding contact the research school coodinator and discuss your ideas.

When you decided to move on with your application fill in the application form and the budget template. Before you fill in the documents, save them on your computer and open them with e.g. Adobe Acrobat/Excel, not within your web browser.

Send both documents to the research school coordinator, Helena Bylund.

How and when will there be a decision

The steering committee will based on your application decide if the activity can get funding from the research school. The steering group meets 4 times per year. Applicants should expect a decision within approximately a month.

Special attention will be given to the following in the application:

  1. content in relation to objectives of the research school
  2. availability of similar courses
  3. number of expected participants

All course activities aimed to give PhD student credits require a documented examination.

Advertising the course

You provide us with a 1-2 page flyer for the course, preferably in pdf format. We will help you advertise at our and the SLU website through SLU research school e-mail lists.

Follow up

All activities require a student evaluation. The evaluation should be summarized and sent to the research school coordinator at least 4 weeks after the course/activity. This course evaluation template  include mandatory questions.
