The Smart City concept and future research

Last changed: 02 November 2019

The project seeks to review how current positioning of the Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management at SLU in Alnarp relate to the Smart City concept.

Exploration into possible research trajectories on landscape governance and management and its relation to the Smart City concept make up for the core of the project. Investigations will not only include how digital solutions and smart technology may aid in e.g. green infrastructure planning to maintenance, and e-participation and smart governance, but questions regarding the Smart City in relation to the actors, views and values, and rules of the game within the Governance & Management model will be of chief concern. During the project period a lecture and workshop of the Smart City landscape and Governance and Management will be held at Alnarp.
The project is run by the Governance & Mangement Theme Group at
Alnarp, SLU.
