The Department of Applied Animal Science and Welfare (THV) comply with SLU:s central environmental work and are actively working according to an environmental management system, certified ISO 14001:2015.
The department operates in four different locations in Sweden: Uppsala, Skara, Gothenburg and Umeå. Because the department is geographically dispersed, we actively work with environmental policies around business trips, where we encourage employees to choose environmentally friendly alternatives such as train over air travel, especially for domestic trips.
