Swedish Centre for Animal Welfare (SCAW)

SCAW is the national centre for animal welfare in Sweden. SCAW works nationally and internationally with animal welfare issues.
From January 1 SCAW is part of the Department of Applied Animal Science and Welfare.
SCAW works broadly with animal welfare issues and is a contact point for the government and other authorities. SCAW arranges seminars and courses and provide expert advice.
SCAW works primarily with issues concerning agricultural animals. Issues related to pet animals, laboratory animals, game or fish are also part of SCAW:s activities.
