Regional Hubs

SLU Urban Futures has three regional hubs based in Ultuna, Alnarp and Umeå. These hubs physically anchor the platform at each of SLU’s main campuses, creating opportunities for collaboration across faculties and with societal actors in each of the regions.

Regional collaboration

To strengthen SLU’s role as a relevant partner within the field of sustainable urban development and transformation, UF’s three regional hubs serve as access points for internal and external collaboration. Outreach activities allow these hubs to establish and facilitate cross-faculty linkages and develop locally-tuned processes for collaborating with the surrounding society. The platform’s three research 'scapes are developing at SLU Urban Futures' three regional hubs. Forestscapes work is concentrated at the Umeå Hub. The Ultuna Hub has been driving foodscapes work with Alnarp contributing with its particular food expertise. Healthscapes are in focus at the Alnarp hub. However, all those urban ‘scapes are SLU-wide relevant themes.
