The largest proportion of the microplastics entering a wastewater treatment plant ends up in the sludge. This sludge can then be used for fertilization of agricultural land. This project aims to investigate the possible risks of spreading microplastics on agricultural land through sludge.

The research project IMPASSE was financed by JPI Water and Formas.
