The Swedish Centre for Agricultural Business Management (SCABM) links the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) with the green industry. The purpose of the centre is to develop business management within the sector and to find successful, profitable and sustainable companies.

Business management comprises the daily work done by the owner of a company such as marketing, accounting, leadership, managing employees and organising as well as production and production processes, strategy development and innovation.

The SCABM is one of SLU’s collaborative centres and our task is to promote the union of qualified research, training and collaboration in the green industry. The aim of SCABM is to develop knowledge and skills that can be used immediately in green companies.

We work in three areas:

  • Development of training and advisory services
  • Research and development
  • Collaboration

The SCABM is part of the Department of People and Society at the Faculty of Landscape Architecture, Horticulture and Crop Production Science at SLU Alnarp. Our collaboration partners are:

  • SLU RådNu – SLU Skara
  • Partnerskap Alnarp
  • SLU's collaboration lecturers

The SCABM is funded by SLU.
