Halftime seminar on on removal of PFASs in groundwater using on-site remediation technologies

seminars, workshops |

On Tuesday 19 March 2024, Oscar Skirfors will present his ongoing PhD work in a half-time seminar on the removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater using on site remediation techniques.

The seminar has the title "Removal of PFASs in groundwater using on-site remediation technologies" and will be held in English.

You are welcome to participate in the room (Biosfären in the MVM building) or online (Zoom).

Abstract

This project investigates the removal efficiency of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater using surface foam fractionation, electrochemical oxidation and phytoremediation as innovative treatment techniques. The PhD project will be a part of the larger EU LIFE SOuRCE project, which main aim is to demonstrate an innovative cost-efficient and versatile remediation solution for PFAS contaminated groundwater.
