Welcome to the next internal global network meeting!

What innovative ideas are waiting to be explored at SLU? As a researcher, you're at the forefront expanding knowledge. However, have you thought about how your research could transfer into innovative products or solutions? Welcome to SLU's global network meeting. This time, we focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.

We will gather physically at Ultuna, Alnarp and Umeå campuses, respectively, to have both face-to-face networking and a hybrid session.

Agenda

8:30-9:00       Meet and greet with coffee and sandwich - At Alnarp, Umeå and Ultuna, respectively.

9:00-10:00     Common programme from Ultuna – Hybrid session

  • Henrik Landgren Senior Innovation & Business Advisor at SLU Holding about how they can help research reach a market.
  • Abozar Nasirahmadi, new professor of digitalisation at Department of Energy and Technology, will present examples of his research work which has led to startups and innovative products in both livestock and crop farming systems, like an app and robotics.

10:00-10:30   Local guests and networking - At Alnarp, Umeå and Ultuna, respectively.

  • Uppsala – Mikolaj Norek from STUNS who are working with opportunities at the intersection of academia, industry and society.
  • Umeå - Sofia Mayans Senior Innovation & Business Advisor at SLU Holding in Umeå.
  • Alnarp - Oskar Widmark, Plant kaféet and Tomas Castro from bakery Amapola.
