Susanna Sternberg Lewerin, BVF, and Nils Fall, KV, have been awarded SLU's Educational Team Award. They receeved their award on Saturday 7 October during the doctoral award ceremony.

The motivation reads: "Susanna Sternberg Lewerin and Nils Fall are dedicated teachers who convey knowledge in a complex area. The way they work gives the students a deeper understanding of the role of veterinary medicine in public health issues. They have also developed new examination forms that facilitate the students' learning process".

During the cermony, the individual prize was also awarded to postdoc Erica von Essen, Department of Urban and Rural Development, and the jubilee prize was awarded to Professor Hans Andersson, Department of Economics.

Facts:

Since 2006, SLU has given out two cash prizes for “exemplary efforts within education and teaching” in conjunction with SLU's doctoral award ceremony in October. One award is for an individual (teacher, director of studies or equivalent) and the other award is a group prize (teaching team, department or equivalent).

Nominations are made by students and teachers. In 2017, a special anniversary prize is also awarded to someone with long and exemplary teaching experience and who has worked extensively for the development of SLU's degree programmes.
