FLAGS: A FORUM FOR GLOBAL SOUTH URBAN CHALLENGES

Last changed: 15 May 2018

The FLAGS 2018 SLU L Call for Ideas (CFI) Workshop hosted a discussion between SLU L researchers, visiting PhD candidates from the Sida Capacity Building Program, Tanzania, Bruno Santesson (Head of the Landscape Architecture Division) and Pro Vice-Chancellor, international relations, Ylva Hillbur, who emphasized the timeliness of the FLAGS CFI, and its alignment with SLU strategic goals.

The workshop explored the Global South dimensions of ongoing and future SLU Landscape education, research and collaboration activities, and offered an exhibition of posters summarizing ongoing research projects in Tanzania. The FLAGS CFI aims to consolidate SLU Landscape Global South activities, facilitate the SLU Urban Futures research platform Global South outreach, and make visible SLU’s significance for urban challenges, within the frame of the UN Habitat Urban Agenda 2030.
