SLU Landscape - collects, galvanizes and animates university resources in the landscape field

SLU Landscape operates as a cross-institutional network for collaboration and joint profiling of work done in the landscape subject area at SLU, one of the largest environments for research and teaching in landscape architecture in Europe.

The driving concept of SLU Landscape is to support the Landscape field at SLU by increasing collaboration, communication and knowledge exchange with the aim of enhancing SLU’s standing in the Landscape field nationally and internationally. SLU Landscape embraces all Landscape-oriented education, research activities and actors at SLU and refers to three distinct and interrelated constructs:
  • a conceptual construct designating an abstract vision of collaboration and shared identity across Landscape
  • a functional construct describing an operative entity driven by SLU employees who realise and manage activities related to that vision
  • an institutional construct representing an innovative organizational arrangement allowing five separate entities to speak and act as one
