PHD GET-TOGETHER CROSS DEPARTMENTS, CAMPUSES AND RESEARCH TRADITIONS
SLU Landscape Keynote Anne Katrine Geelmuyden (Professor of landscape architecture, Norwegian University of Life Sciences) and researcher Zeinab Tag-Eldeen joined 12 SLU L PhD students in the PhD Get-together SLU L Call for Ideas (CFI) workshop, to lecture on process and method when conducting a doctoral project.
In a roundtable discussion following her presentation, participants received feedback on their projects. Comments touched on developing research questions, choosing methodology and exploring different theoretical perspectives. Similarities and differences between projects were discussed. Doctoral students from SLU’s collaboration with Tanzania also attended and presented their work, among them Edson Sanga shared his project on recreation in informal settlements.
