Studio – Urban Spaces

This course makes use of plant dynamics charrette sketches. The students develop understanding of the time dimension of a design through comparison between the expected volumes of plants when newly built and after 30 years. The model is used as a tool to visualize what is needed to accomplish the desired spatiality at different phases of plant design. Insights gained from working with these models, are used to revise and refine the design.
