Animal welfare protection and assessment

What to assess, how best to collect indicators, interpret them and, not least, what to do with them afterwards? We apply our research in this area across all species, irrespective of the reason for the assessment (research purposes, part of official control or private quality assurance etc) We are interested in both improving existing indicators as well as the development of new indicators e.g related to the emotional states of animals and to indicators of positive welfare. We are active in research on enforcement and implementation.
