The first official PhD’s Forum meeting, on 16 October 2018 in Alnarp (prior to the Super Landscape Days) brought six PhD candidates together to develop a shared vision and strategic plan for the Forum´s future.
During the morning session, participants introduced their academic and professional backgrounds as well as PhD projects. After identifying several common challenges, the group used the afternoon session to discuss and formulate the Forum’s potential into a shared vision and strategic plan for the future.
Over the next year, the PhD’s Forum aims to expand the number of participants. The plan is to hold three meetings during the 2018/19 academic year, one being a PhD writing retreat. An open call will help to select meeting themes. It was also agreed that the PhD’s Forum will participate in the planning process for ECLAS 2020 conference.
