The response from the industry was big when Åsa Odelros, advisor in organic poultry production, organized a one-day course on organic broiler production.
Participants included both active producers of organic broiler, producers interested in starting with the production branch, interested restaurant owners, representatives from the feed and breeding industry and researchers. The opportunities and challenges in organic broiler production with a broad perspective were discussed; e.g. market, regulatory development, animal health and breeding material.
