Successful conference about ley

Ley is the main crop for ruminants. To ensure that certain matters concerning ley not will fall between the cracks, SLU, Växa Sverige, LRF Milk and the Swedish Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies arranged a well-attended conference for anyone interested in ley cultivation and feeding. In connection to the conference was also a satellite meeting on forage for horses
The program included varied fields as manure, cultivation materials, overwintering, harvest strategy, grazing, fodder conservation and protein from ley in the diet of ruminants. Additionally the Swedish Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies presented the new "Forage Tool" where you can calculate the production costs for forage.
At the dinner, the “Leymasters of the Year” was announced; the beef producers Richard and Lennart Johansson, Grunsbo in Frändefors in Dalsland.
